Datenight at Boudreaux’s: A Delicious Review

Datenight at Boudreaux’s: A Delicious Review

My husband and I recently had a couples date night at Boudreaux’s in Daphne, Alabama, and I can’t wait to share my food review. Everything is made from scratch here, which always sets the tone for a great meal.

We started with the spinach and artichoke dip. It was so cheesy and delicious—I’d absolutely get it again. Perfect for sharing, it was rich, flavorful, and hit all the right notes.

Next, I tried the **fried green tomatoes**. They were cooked perfectly, and I enjoyed the shrimp sauce on top. However, while the sauce was packed with flavor, the tomatoes themselves weren’t seasoned enough to stand alone. But together? A solid dish.

For my drink, I went with the Bourbon Berry Smash. The drink tasted good. It was fun to try something new, but I’m not sure bourbon is my thing. The berry debris in the cocktail didn’t do it for me, so next time, I think I’ll try the Southern Belle instead.

The highlight of my meal was definitely the catfish with mashed potatoes. The catfish was seasoned and cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside and tender inside. I highly recommend it if you visit!

To finish things off, I had the **brownie a la mode** for dessert. The brownie was hot and fresh, super sweet, and a total indulgence. Next time, I’ve got my eye on the key lime pie, which I’ve heard great things about.

Have you been to Boudreaux’s? Let me know your favorite dishes or drinks in the comments—I’d love to hear your recommendations for our next date night!
