Sunday Brunch at Boudreaux’s Restaurant in Daphne, AL: A Delicious Experience with $2 Mimosas

If you’re in Daphne, AL, and looking for a Sunday brunch spot, Boudreaux’s Cajun Grill should be at the top of your list.

One of the key attractions is their $2 mimosas, available in three flavors: orange, pineapple, and cranberry. You can even mix and match the juices! I couldn’t resist trying a few combinations myself, starting with the cranberry, then moving on to the pineapple, and finally an orange-pineapple blend. Each one was cold, crisp, and delightfully bubbly—exactly what you want from a good mimosa, a little but of juice and alotta champagne.

We kicked off our brunch with an appetizer of Boudreaux's Egg Rolls, filled with blackened chicken, corn macque choux, and cheese, served with a court bouillon sauce. I expected a chunkier filling, but the ingredients were finely ground, making for a smoother bite. The court bouillon sauce, while tasty, reminded me of a basic gravy—nothing too fancy, but it complemented the egg rolls well.

For my main course, I indulged in the chicken and waffles. The waffles were sugar-crusted, providing a nice crunch while still being soft and fluffy inside. The chicken thighs were juicy, perfectly seasoned, and fried to a golden brown. The spicy kick was just right, though next time, I might ask for the pepper syrup on the side to adjust the amount to my liking.

I was a bit apprehensive about trying the Gouda grits since restaurants don’t always get grits right. But Boudreaux’s nailed it—the grits were cooked to perfection, neither too watery nor too thick. They were well-seasoned, with just the right amount of cheese to add a smoky flavor without being overwhelming.

My husband opted for the spinach omelet, and we both agreed it was a winner. I saved the Conecuh bacon for last—a little sweet, salty, and smoky, cooked just right. It had a nice chew without being overly crunchy.

Boudreaux’s serves brunch on Sundays from 10 AM to 3 PM. We arrived around 11:30 and had to wait about 30-40 minutes for a table, but the waitlist system was convenient. They text you when your table is ready, so you don’t have to stay inside the restaurant. There’s seating available both indoors and outdoors, depending on your preference.

Overall, our experience at Boudreaux’s was fantastic. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was inviting, and our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. We’ll definitely be back!
