A Relaxing Saturday Brunch at Flamingo Landing

A Relaxing Saturday Brunch at Flamingo Landing

After almost 15 years of marriage, every moment spent with my husband feels like a date. Last weekend, we decided to enjoy a laid-back Saturday brunch at Flamingo Landing in Gulfport, MS.

With brunch served from 10 to 4 on both Saturday and Sunday, it was the perfect spot for a casual but delicious outing. Plus, I was sold when I saw biscuits and gravy on the online menu and bottomless mimosas for just $16!

When we arrived, we were warmly greeted at the hostess stand and asked whether we preferred to sit upstairs or downstairs. Upstairs offered cozy indoor seating, while downstairs was an outdoor space by the water. It had a nice play area for kids with sandbox and a bag toss game.

We opted for the inside and were seated immediately. Our server introduced themselves quickly and took our drink and appetizer order. I went for the bottomless mimosas (starting with a Mango one!) and Epic deviled eggs.

One thing I noticed and really appreciated was how attentive the staff were. Servers checked in with guests regularly, asking about the food, making suggestions, and ensuring everyone’s first bites were just right. Even the manager stopped by our table to check on us, which added a nice personal touch to the experience.

For my meal, I had to try the Route 605 biscuits & gravy with a side of Cajun potatoes, especially because the gravy had three different proteins (Tasso, andouille, and pork sausage). While I expected a chunkier gravy, the consistency was perfect—just enough to coat the biscuits without making them soggy. My eggs, as requested, were cooked over easy to perfection.

The My husband, on the other hand, enjoyed orange juice and the Lorraine Sunrise with sausage patties and a Belgian waffle. Of course I had a taste of his food. The Pepperjack grits were delicious.

And then there were the mimosas! Flamingo Landings offers seven flavors, and I tried four: pomegranate, mango, peach, and watermelon. My personal favorite? Pomegranate, hands down.

Mango was a close second, followed by peach and watermelon.

I would try all of the other flavors again accept watermelon. There were still pineapple, raspberry, and cranberry to try, so I’ll definitely be back to mix and match next time!

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service made us feel like valued guests. I even eyed the fried shrimp platter at the table next to us—it looked amazing and is now on my list to try.
